Policy Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required and the driver must be 25 years
or older. Valid foreign driver's license or international driver's license
is permitted.
- Advance reservations require a $500 deposit for confirmation (this
is in addition to the total rental cost). The $500 reservation deposit
becomes the security deposit and may be refundable. Charges that may
be deducted from the security deposit are: damage, loss of equipment,
refueling, over mileage, extra days, excessive use of the generator
and cleaning the vehicle.
- To avoid additional charges, the motorhome should be returned in
the same condition as received.
- Payment is required in full thirty days prior to departure.
- All cancellations must be in writing and are subject to a $100 minimum
processing fee. Cancellations within 60 days prior to departure are
subject to a $250 fee. All monies collected are non-refundable if cancellation
is made within 30 days of departure. The balance may be applied within
one year toward a future rental
Check-in / Check-out
A complete motorhome orientation is provided to acquaint you with the
operation of the vehicle at check-out. Check in/out times are: Monday
thru Saturday, 9am to 5pm. Special arrangements
must be made if check-out or check-in other than the above are desired.
CHECK OUT TIMES ARE 2:00PM TO 4:00PM MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.
CHECK IN TIMES ARE MONDAY THRU SATURDAY, 9AM TO 11AM.
BECAUSE THE MOTORHOMES ARE OFTEN SCHEDULED TO BE RETURNED
AND RENTED OUT AGAIN ON THE SAME DAY, SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS MUST BE MADE
FOR CHECK-OUT OR CHECK-IN OTHER THAN THE ABOVE TIMES ARE DESIRED. THERE
WILL BE A $50 EARLY CHECK OUT FEE, A $50 EARLY CHECK IN FEE, AND A $50
PER HOUR LATE CHARGE FOR LATE RETURNS.
Insurance
The cost of Supplemental Insurance is $9.95 per day and is encouraged.
An insurance "rider" or "binder" is required from the renter's insurance
company. Most insurance companies provide this service at no cost to their
clients. If your personal insurance will not issue a "binder", then basic insurance can be purchased at a fee of $15-30 per day.
Mileage
With the rental of a motorhome you receive 500 (per week) free miles
(700 during the winter season). More miles can be purchased at 34-42 cents
per mile. Mileage is prepaid, you receive a refund for unused miles. Most
units get 9 to 10 mpg.
**Note: There is a cap on
miles available at the 34-42 cent per mile price. The two things
that depreciate a motorhome are age and mileage; therefore, rentals
cross-country in a short period of time are discouraged. This
cap is set by the weekly free mileage schedule.
Example: A weekly rental cost
of a 25' [mid-size] coach is $895/week. During the summer months
you will receive 500 free miles with the $895 rental fee. The
next 500 miles per week would be at a cost of 34 cents. Anything-over
1000 miles would be at a rate of 78 cents per mile. (Calculations
for the mileage is an aggregate of the rental time (one week =
1000 miles, two weeks = 2000 miles etc. Extra days past a weekly
rental are prorated.)
